To the Clients of Weik Capital Management:
Weik Capital Management (Weik) and its employees consider your privacy of utmost concern. Weik does not and will not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason. Weik does not disclose non-public personal information about its clients (or former clients) to third parties except as described below.
We collect certain non-public personal information about you from our discussions with you, from documents you complete, and in the course of providing advisory services to you. This includes information you provide on investment advisory agreements and custodial application and administrative forms. We also receive information about your account transactions from the custodian you have selected.
This information may include, but is not limited to, your:
- Name, address, email address, phone number(s)
- Social Security or taxpayer identification number
- Date of Birth
- Citizenship
- Family members and/or beneficiaries
- Assets and Liabilities
- Income
- Account Balances
- Investment activity with custodians including purchases and sales
Please advise us promptly if any of the information you have provided us has changed. We may use this information to effect transactions in your account and provide other advisory services. In the course of doing business with us, you may be required to provide non-public personal information to your custodian via hard copy or electronic submission. You should receive a privacy policy statement from your custodian. We do not share your personal information with other third parties, except our attorneys, accountants and auditors as permitted by law. We do not sell client information to other companies for marketing purposes.
Outside of these exceptions, we do not share your personal information with third parties unless you have specifically asked us to do so. We are committed to maintaining your trust and make your privacy a priority. Weik has procedures in place that we believe are reasonably designed to protect the security and confidentiality of your information. These include confidentiality agreements with companies we hire to help us provide services to you, password-protected user access to our company files, training of employees, and strict confidentiality policies that apply to all employees.
As required by federal law, we will notify you of our privacy policy annually. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time and will notify you of any change. Should you ever decide to terminate your advisory agreement, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.
