Thomas W. Weik
President & Chief Investment Officer
Tom founded Weik Capital Management in 1987 and has supervised the firm’s investment work since that time. His responsibilities include overseeing equity analysis and portfolio management. Tom chair’s the firm’s investment policy committee. Prior to founding Weik Capital Management, he served as Vice President and Portfolio Supervisor at another investment advisory firm. Tom’s experience also included Vice President positions at two major brokerage firms. After he graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 1964, Tom engaged in graduate work at Roosevelt University and a doctoral program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His education was interrupted by the Vietnam War when he was called to duty and served for four years as a staff officer at Headquarters Tactical Air Command, USAF.
Tom has written investment columns for two Pennsylvania newspapers. He is a trustee emeritus of Albright College, having served the college as Chairman of the Investment Committee for more than ten years. Tom served on the board of the Foundation for the Reading Public Museum and chaired the Joint Trust Fund Committee for approximately ten years. He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the Berks County Estate Planning Council. Tom is a nationally prominent tournament bridge player, having won a national championship and more than 15,000 master points. He is a past president of District 4, a six-state subdivision of the American Contract Bridge League.
Robert C. Kline
Investment Consultant
Bob joined the firm in 1990 bringing a broad base of investment experience to the Investment Team. After 34 years of service, Bob has retired as our Fixed-Income Manager and has transitioned into serving the firm as an Investment Consultant on a part-time basis. Prior to joining Weik Capital Management, he served as Senior Vice President and Bank Economist for Meridian Bancorp, Inc., managing the bank’s investment and economic departments. During his 14 years at Meridian, his responsibilities included developing and implementing fixed income investment strategies, forecasting interest rates and the economy, strategic planning, supervising customer securities, and serving on key management committees. Prior to joining Meridian, Bob was with Continental Bank from 1965 to 1975, heading the Trust Investment Department.
Bob graduated in 1958 from Dickinson College, where he majored in economics. He also completed a two-year executive training program at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and various courses at the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. Bob is presently a board member of the Valley Forge Sewer Authority. He has served on the audit committee of the United Way of Berks County and is a past director of the Reading YMCA, the Phoenixville Area YMCA, the Great Valley Nature Center, and Historic Yellow Springs, Inc. Bob is an elder of The First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville and has served on the Presbytery’s Committee of Ministry.
Sarah C. Sculley
Fixed-Income Manager & Chief Compliance Officer
Sarah assumed a permanent position at Weik Capital Management in 2006 after interning with the firm during her senior year of college. She currently serves on the investment team and as Chief Compliance Officer. Sarah is involved in portfolio management and has the primary responsibility for fixed-income work. She is a member of the investment policy committee. Sarah graduated cum laude from Albright College in May, 2006, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and majoring in accounting, economics, and finance. She has earned the professional designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist (SM) after completing an educational program offered through the College for Financial Planning.
Sarah remains active with her alma mater and is a member of Phi Delta Sigma, an honorary alumnae sorority at Albright. She is a sister of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and currently serves as the Chapter Advisor at Albright. Sarah also participates in Albright College’s Parents and Alumni Seeking Students (PASS) program. She serves on the board of directors for Girls on the Run of Berks County and is treasurer of the organization. Sarah is a member of the Berks County chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteers with the Red Shoe Crew of Central PA.
Abhishek Amatya
Equity Analyst
Abhi comes to us from Kathmandu, Nepal. He began his association with Weik Capital Management in 2008, supporting the firm’s equity work while he continued his education. Abhi graduated cum laude from Albright with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management in 2008 and then earned his MBA at Kutztown University in 2012. He is principally engaged in the analysis of equity securities, playing a key role in unveiling investment opportunities that meet our established criteria.
Abhi also participates in the firm’s portfolio management and has primary responsibility for equity trading for the firm. Abhi is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He serves on the board of Berks Connections/Pretrial Services and is a member of the Greater Reading Young Professionals.
Warren W. Weik
Chief Operating Officer
Warren is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our firm. Warren joined Weik Capital Management in 2010 and became a member of the investment team in 2012. Warren plays a key role in portfolio management and is also engaged in equity research. He is a member of the investment policy committee. Warren received his BS in Business Administration from Albright College, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2011. Prior to joining Weik Capital Management, he was employed by Penske Truck Leasing and was responsible for national rental and lease accounts.
Warren is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the Rotary Club of West Reading-Wyomissing. He is a director of the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading and serves as president of the board. Warren is also on the board of the YMCA of Reading & Berks County. In January 2024, he was appointed to serve as a member of the Reading Public Library’s Board of Trustees.
Laura Novak
Fixed-Income Manager
Laura is a member of our investment team, serving both as a portfolio manager and our Fixed-Income Manager. She has primary responsibility for the firm’s fixed-income trading. In addition, Laura is our Chief Compliance Officer. Many of our clients are already familiar with Laura, as she previously served at Weik in a variety of roles for a 15-year period beginning in 1998.
Following a move to Upstate NY, she joined AmeriCU Capital Management, LLC as Chief Compliance Officer for a 5-year period. She then returned to Weik in March, 2021. Laura is a 1990 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Villanova University. In her spare time, her interests include projects to address homelessness, community gardening, golf, and cooking.
Kenneth W. Weik
Portfolio Manager & Secretary/Treasurer
Ken joined Weik Capital Management on a full-time basis in 2016 and is a member of the investment team. He has served as a portfolio manager since 2021. In addition, as Secretary/Treasurer, he is responsible for all corporate accounting and record keeping. Ken maintains our information technology platform and is responsible for continuous improvement of our information system.
He studied aeronautical science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona before graduating from Albright College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Ken has also been accepted to the United Way’s Leadership Berks program.
Logan J. Boyer
Assistant Portfolio Manager
Logan Boyer joined Weik Capital Management as an Assistant Portfolio Manager in June, after graduating magna cum laude from Susquehanna University, where he majored in both Finance and Accounting. Logan is involved in supporting the investment team in its research and portfolio management processes on both the equity and fixed income teams. His educational achievements include completing Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program of the CFA Institute.
In his spare time, Logan continues to participate in local music as a trumpeter in the Kutztown Summer Band. Logan enjoys golf and tennis and while at Susquehanna, he had been active in a number of organizations, including playing on and managing the tennis team, playing trumpet in the Jazz Ensemble and serving as a member of the finance club.
Kristina Prislin
Client Service Administrator & Executive Assistant
Kristina joined Weik Capital Management in 2011. She is responsible for account administration and client service, as well as office administrative support. Kristina also serves as the portfolio accountant She is a member of the compliance committee and the executive assistant to the President. Kristina graduated in 2000 from the Secondary Economic School in Croatia where she concentrated in accounting, economics and finance. After her arrival in the United States, she attended classes at Reading Area Community College while pursuing a career.
Kristina subsequently joined Paul R. Ober & Associates, becoming a Legal Assistant and playing a key role in support of the law firm’s activities. Her continuation as a Notary Public has enhanced her ability to serve as our account administrator. Kristina volunteers for World Affairs Council of Greater Reading.
Lisa E. Hawk
Operations Coordinator
Lisa joined Weik Capital Management in April 2020. She participates in our portfolio accounting and client service operations. Lisa also exercises the firms’ proxy voting. She graduated from Shippensburg University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Sociology.
Lisa worked for Penske Truck Leasing as a business analyst for 13 years. Prior to joining Weik Capital Management, she worked for Montgomery County’s Public Safety Department as an assistant project manager. Lisa is an active volunteer at her son’s school located in Exeter.
